Doha, September 15, 2026 : The State of Qatar has strongly condemned attacks carried out by the Houthi group against civilian sites and civilians in the Saudi cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif using ballistic missiles and drones.

The attacks resulted in injuries to several civilians and caused material damage to residential properties and vehicles, according to a statement issued Tuesday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry described the attacks as acts of aggression and an unacceptable disregard for civilian lives, stressing that they represent a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a clear breach of international law.

Qatar reiterated its firm rejection of attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure and called for an immediate end to such actions.

The Ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all legitimate measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and interests.

It further stressed that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of Qatar’s national security and the collective security framework of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC).

The Ministry expressed its wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured and prayed for the protection and safety of Saudi Arabia and its people.
